As children, my brother and I used to attempt breakfast in bed for mom. It usually consisted of cold toast and microwaved scrambled eggs with a small glass of orange juice, all served at about 7 am because we were THOSE kids that never slept in. I cringe remembering that she dutifully ate all of it with a smile. I’m happy to say I have improved my breakfast game since then – ugh.
This year we are fortunate to be able to all meet at my brother’s house for supper. As always, I wanted to do or bring something that would make Mom’s day, so I found a little inspiration while out shopping.
I found some cute pieces at Home Sense that I put together to make a customized basket for Mom. I started with the cutlery basket for carting things outside from the kitchen. I then added a small canister of tea, a bottle of balsamic vinegar, and a wine carafe.
I also found a string of battery-operated indoor-outdoor LED lights that I added to the wine carafe to make a cute centerpiece for the patio. I had so much fun putting this together!
Wishing you a lovely day!
